I love to greet the new season (summer coming soon for us in the southern hemisphere) with an aromatherapy treat…
For these, blends I mix essential oils in 20ml of carrier oil, such as sweet almond, jojoba or grapeseed.
They all have a four-week shelf life.
Massage the relevant areas gently, using relaxing sweeping movements.
Sometimes you may want to work on yourself – but it can be soothing to let someone else – a close friend or partner – to work on you.
How To Mix Essential Oils For Seasonal Treats
As your energies vary, you may find that you need different massage blends to relieve different kinds of stress.
Massage is particularly effective after a bath as the skin can absorb the blend better. Having a massage also helps improve your sleep – when you rest like this, your whole body can restore itself and your mind can be at peace.
Springtime Freshener
To help revitalise and energise you after the long drag of wintertime
- 4 drops lemon
- 3 drops juniper
- 3 drops peppermint
Summer Skin Food
How to mix essential oils to nourish your skin deeply, use the following in 20ml jojoba oil
- 3 drops sandalwood
- 2 drops patchouli
- 5 drops frankincense
Autumn Spirit Reviver
To uplift you as the longer nights draw in
- 4 drops mandarin
- 3 drops may chang
- 3 drops coriander
Winter Energizer
To alleviate aches, stiffness and low vitality try this essential oil blend
- 2 drops vetiver
- 3 drops lemongrass
- 5 drops nutmeg
